I am using the ...amd64.deb for years now, but today I was automatically offered to download ...i386.deb. Seems the latter is downloaded by most people, so I'm puzzled: which version is best for Intel i7-14700 processors and a NVidia RTX GPU?

Hi Han, I actually had overlooked and underrated the full power of this ASTAP feature. Basically, I had never tried to paint a rectangle on a solved image instead of just clicking a single target. The rectangle is the key to transport a whole region to Hyperleda which than delivers a full list of targets (plus data) without requiring any additional user action - GREAT! There, we also can easily select displaying the data as a text list (which I was asking for) or in a different kind of presentation....

When an image is successfully solved and then annotated by Hyperleda, some regions of the imaged area show a big amount of background galaxies - sometimes way over 100! I would like to know whether a list of all found Hyperleda objects in the current image is available or could be provided (e.g.) as a simple text list? The labels / object numbers are often long and overlapping, thus such a list could be useful for the inspection of crowded regions.

Hello Han, I was sure that you must be the one to get the most out of this difficult (at best) data - your result looks way better than anything I've tried before with the gradient tool. I was stumped, but thanks to your pointers, I'll try the image again this week. Big thanks for you support, too

Hello Han, I was curious what ASTAP could achieve with an image set I took 2020 for testing purposes with the nice Samyang F135mm f/2.0 lens: 180x8s lightframes. The stacking result looks better than I expected, with nice star images and good nebula detail (24 mins integration time only). Besides the more prominent objects (M42/43 + NGC2024 + B33/IC434) I discovered also the faint shape of NGC1909 aka "Witch Head Nebula" when playing with massive histogram stretching – just as a side node. Due to...
