Hi LuDong, The PuTTY team answered, you can close this ticket out, because this is Working As Designed, limitation, or working as expected pretty much. It's a good job you sent the screenshots, because that wasn't clear at all from your description. I think what you mean is: text that was wrapped to one screen width is not rewrapped to the new width when you resize the screen. That is true, but it isn't a bug. Terminals differ in how they handle this kind of thing, and there's no specification saying...

Decided to ultimately report this to the original team as well.

Hi LuDong, Thanks for the response. I was expecting it is a limitation. The workaround is to use the clear command to clear the screen beforehand, which is not a problem. Do you think it is worth trying to report this for the vanilla PuTTY developer team? If they could enhance this and If they did, would that help you out with your PuTTY variant? I assume you aren't part of the Vanilla PuTTY team. Do you know potentially how to report this issue for them or how do you contact them? I can give it...

I also tested this on the Mac Terminal, and there the resizing also works in that case, so expecting this to be related to the Terminal UI environment, putty has, but I am not fully sure. If needed, I can also video-record the behavior on Windows. Checked some configuration options in Terminal - Features and Window - Appearance and so on, but couldn't get this one to work. If I should change any configuration that should fix this, let me know and I will try it out.
