How are we doing with this?
Its been couple of months. And i would like to refresh this topic, as it is still valid request. Can we get a confirmation that it will be soved one day or should we start looking for another soluton?
Okay, now i understood that bootloader change was becasue of my switch from legacy to UEFI. In legacy i had no issues with this. Anyway, can you make the delay an optional thing, or reduce it at least so its enough to accenpt youbikey static password entry?
I would greatly appreciate an answer whether developers are willing to implement solution for this at all or not. Meanwhile i found out using keyfiles for preboot authentication is not allowed. So im left with a rather weak password. I dont want to rely on my memory for a long random password and waste a minute to type 50 random chars and digits.
Hello, As of new versions of vera crypt bootloader it seems like there was implemented(i suspect intentionally) a limiter on characters inputed per second when entering password. Result of this is its impossible to use youbikey static passoword(only some of the characters go through). It used to work fine with older versions. Please consider changing the code so it works. Im sure there is quite a bit of people that use a combo of manually typed password + some static key. I understand alternative...
Hello, Updated to VC 1.23 Hotfix-2 and attemting to encrypt system partition, got a problem with new test. I use youbikey static password for hardening. However it seems that youbikey is typing the password too fast for the new test promt. I can type it manually, but that is not desirable if i will have to type it manually everytime upon boot. Will the bootloader have same problem as the test prompt?
Okay, managed to sort out my issue after some researching by overriding the deafult sequence with: {USERNAME}{ENTER}{DELAY 3000}{PASSWORD}{ENTER}
For instance im dealing with alot of web services that first have a page with only log in dialog, and then proceed to a page with a password dialog. Okay, i did not realise DnD is a windows feature and would cause difficulties. Then what about offering to auto type either login, or password only? So i can deliver my log in, proceed to the password page, when it loads i can deliver the password.
