I started trying to find the smallest test case .. and I think I rebooted my machine at some point .. and now the same archives that were crashing the manager and directory opus are .. Opening without problem. Just as they should have been? I'd used a vmWare Win10 box for the 2nd test box on the same machine . Both are working. Makes Zero sense? No other anomalies when using Visual Studio on a rock solid machine to indicate any issues at all with the box? I've been programing since 10 cps teletypes...

If I remove the .vs folder and compress again with zZip - when I attempt to open it in zZip file manager the z-Zip file manager still crashes. The Very strange thing to me is that I could open all these archives before without problem - as I make backups often and often go back to some code I've written if the new changes don't work out. And to be able to copy the folder from inside the file manager but not be able to double click on the folder in the file manager to view the contents is .. odd??...

shows 7-zip file manager with this archive open. Clicking on folder 'MauiApp8' inside it will crash the file manager?

I've been using z-Zip for years with no problems! I'm suddenly having a strange problem opening valid 7-zip archives. If I try to open a folder within an archive using the latest z-Zip File Manager, the File Manager will crash. As will Directory Opus when attempting to open the folder within the archive. However, the File Manager can test the Entire archive and it's fine. And I can drag the folder out of the archive so it's also fine. I'm running Win10 with the latest updates and using Windows Defender....
