Thanks, and yes, Global Terror and Desert Storm are actually the same game, my bad. The black screens are definately annoying, I even tried it multiple times once and thus I got multiple small black screens stuck on my window that wouldn't go away until a reboot. Hopefully there is a way to fix it, it's an old game, but a good one. I am using the GOG version, so that could be why.

Hello, I am unable to get DxWnd to work with Conflict Global Terror, I'm trying to run it in windowed mode. I've read online it does work for Conflcit Desert Storm but I have not tried that game yet. The issue is I get a full blacks screen on the game, but I can hear the sounds. Sometimes the game just goes fully black and I can't even do anything, forcing me to log out or restart my PC since Task Manager won't kill the process.

I've enabled logging but unfortunately it's not saving the logs in the game folder (have enabled DxWnd to run as admin).
