libpng error: IE[9B][D2]: invalid chunk type

Sorry for the necro post, but what's the general consensus on playing this game nowadays? I'm on Windows 7 getting the whitescreen error. DxWnd 2.05.61 (Radeon RX 570. Some users on this site reported success with dgVooDoo, but that doesn't help me either. I don't know if it's been mentioned because I'm 44 pages late, but I've been using "inmm" to play redbook audio with PC rips, etc. It's a Japanese program. I don't think I've had any issues with looping audio, etc.
