True, however, my problem is I can't figure out how to tell thunderbird/enigmail that this isn't SMIME. Yes, I do have sMIME turned off as an encryption method, but I'm still getting this message. Ideas? I guess my first task should be to look at my config files and see if there's anything worth tweaking. If that doesn't work, perhaps I just need to blow my thunderbird away and reinstall. [did you turn it off and back on again?]
The current build has me confused. It's asking me to set up certificates on my identity. I installed enigmail on my system with an existing gpg key, which had several identities. Software looks as follows: gpg (GnuPG) 2.2.4 Enigmail 2.0.12 libgcrypt 1.8.1 which gpg == /usr/bin/gpg Any help on pointing me to a debug / log window so I can start figuring out what is wrong would be appreciated.
