OK, now I understand. It's not there, so based on your explanation, there is no WIA driver for it. I'll just use the image correction suggestion you made. So far, that has worked in all of my tests. Thank you once again.

I am having the same issue with my new Canon GX6120 scanner. B&W has excellent results. Greyscale and color have a greyish background where it's supposed to be pure white. You can see the difference between B&W and color scans by viewing the attachments. I can get a somewhat reasonable color scan of a B&W document by setting the contrast all the way up to 1000, but then at that setting, the color scan of an actual color document produces a scan result with significantly distorted color contrast....
