EPSON DS-40 (USB Interface) - .NET Excpetion crashes system

I have been using this program for over 3 years to allow scanning into a Microsoft Access database for our free health clinic using a Brother ADS-2100 which has finally worn out despite changing parts I could. I have "upgraded" to there new ADS-2200 which actually looks physical quite different. It generally works fine after pointing at the new driver, but I just can't get iCopy (my older version) to work with Duplex via ASF.
