Despite all the above suggestions, I had no permanent solution, but the configuration was the key. So in C:\Users{userid}\AppData\Roaming\KeePass replace {userid} with your own, refer to file KeePass.config.xml <PasswordGenerator> <AutoGeneratedPasswordsProfile> <GeneratorType>CharSet</GeneratorType> <Length>0</Length> <CharSetRanges>ULD_______</CharSetRanges> </AutoGeneratedPasswordsProfile> <UserProfiles /> </PasswordGenerator> and change the length value to zero as in my sample. I do have a similar issue, but it happens with NAPS2 and the software bundled with my Printer/Scanner. I've concluded that it a hardware design fault with the Scanner. My unit is a Brother MFC-L2710DW, and it fails to scan the top 4-5mm of any page. I hadn't noticed until I happen to scan an item with an edge bleed.

I was wondering about an option to ignore 'System Files & Folders' and it has already been raised. Although I am interesting in preventing attempts to delete 'System Volume Information'. Right now I am using the profile "hack" to specify target folders to match source folders, but this procedure seems less elegant than I would have preferred.
