Something must have been corrupted in my environment. I created a brand new project, copied all the java source files into it, added JACOB as a library, and the error disappeared. Belay that - the errors are still present. Do I even need that ComThread.InitMTA() statement?

I'm trying to develop a utility to interface with an ASCOM device using JACOB. @gzotti - Do you know if this issue was fixed in the latest release of the ASCOM Platform (6.5SP1)? It works fine with 6.4 and I don't want to upgrade to the new version if it's going to break this again.

Well. that explains a lot. Duh. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction.

That is also incorrect. Attached is an annotated image from Astronomy.net showing Neptune dead center in the frame. You have to zoom way in to see the text because the font is very small.

I have no focal reducer in my setup. The focal length is exactly 550 mm. This was confirmed when NINA was able to plate-solve the image immediately with no warnings or corrections and then subsequently confirmed in PixInsight during the PCC process.

Sorry - what am I misinterpreting?
