And I'm on a 2012 MacBook Pro

Hi there...I'm having the same problem as David, I'm on High Sierra but when I try to open BUTT I keep getting this message, " error while parsing config. Illegal value (-1) for num_of_srv. butt is going to close now"....the thing is it never, ever opens?? Have you any ideas that can help please??
