I've got a database that I use from work and home. When I originally set this up many years ago, I created the database at home, put a copy of the database into my dropbox, then at work I copied the database out of my dropbox and onto my local machine. From that point on, I always open the local copy and sync to the dropbox copy. Recently, syncing has stopped working. I edit an entry on one machine and sync to dropbox. It says it completed successfully. I switch to the other machine and sync again....
