Yes, apologies about engine log. Although it is really above my pay grade, I have managed to use Tortoise to apply the revised chess960-new.patch in r3537 and compile it. Stockfish is now running normally in the 960 application.

I have looked back at ChessX 1.5.7 and the the engine-specific MultiPV option was being ignored in the Analysis window in that version, so this behaviour is not something that was introduced in version 1.6. It is annoying to set up MultiPV options for ones favourite engine(s) and then find that MultiPV has to be set to > 1, if desired, every time the Analysis window is run. May I please ask you to think again about changing the program to use the MultiPV engine setting.

I have QT 5.13.2 and I want to compile ChessX. In "chessx" folder, when I run: C:\Qt\Qt5.13.2\5.13.2\msvc2017_64\bin\lupdate.exe chessx.pro, I get the message: "cannot run compiler 'cl' " - see attached file for full message. Please tell me what am I doing wrong. M J Brown mj37brown@gmail.com
