ChibiOS rtos support broken by recent changes in ChibiOS

I cannot send you a board, but could potentially set you up with an account on a Linux machine with access to the hardware, and a software controlled power supply so that you could reset the device when necessary (or an STLink for SWD). What distro are you most comfortable with, I can start setting one up in the next week or so. Also, I'd need a public ssh key to allow you to log in (does SF have a PM funtionality?).

I can confirm that the above patch works for me applied against dfu-util-0.9, then updating a system based on the STM32L433RCT6

I built the latest code (gentoo linux, -9999 build) with the above patches applied, but got a timeout during the bulk erase phase. It's funny because even ST's own tool will fail here. Retrying eventually got the firmware loaded (in both utilities).
