Adrian - Thanks for the reply. I was able to execute VeraCrypt commands through SyncBack prior to backup and after a successful backup that mount and dismount the encrypted device. Unfortunately, this method stores the password in a clear text file. I also discovered during testing that mounting and dismounting with VeraCrypt commands and the app itself, all need to be done with administrative rights or without. Greetings to all Open Sourcerers I’m very new to VeraCrypt, but successfully encrypted a 4TB WD USB HDD for purposes of redundant offline backup. I have been using SyncBack for years and the growing concern over ransomware has me opting for an extra layer of protection. I would appreciate any helpful suggestions. I am running Windows 10.
