Quick GH search revealed this ticket which might be related" https://github.com/trevorsandy/lpub3d/issues/412. Can you confirm?

Hi, I've been using LPub3D quite heavily a few years ago and after a longer pause I would love to start making Lego instructions again! One of the things I was missing back then was the ability to zoom in to any part of a larger model (not just to the center) and keep that level of zoom through several following steps without needing to readjust in every step. I remember this used to be not easily possible (even though there were some cumbersome workarounds). Is this use case now possible? Regards,...

Also from the linked github ticket I deduce that I can partially achieve what I want by first dragging and dropping the assembly image off the page, so that the region I'm interested in is in the center of the page, then zooming as required (by setting camera distance) and then moving the resulting (cropped) image so that it aligns with the page. There are however several problems with this: - It's obviously quite laborious and error prone. Moreover you have to do that for every step separately....

I've read the linked ticket and if I understand it correctly the short term solution is just about being able to set the camera distance factor for Assembly and PLI/Callout separately. What I probably want to achieve is the state (in your own words) "so each image is consistent in its size relative to the Lego Draw Unit (LDU), page size, resolution and image scale". Essentially the behaviour of LDView renderer. So is there currently any way to achieve that with the native renderer? My ideal scenario...

Perhaps I should have been more specific and mentioned that I want to zoom not just to center (which seems to be currently the only way) but to specfic region, ideally simply selected by mouse click.

Hello, one of the features I'm probably missing most from lpub is the ability to zoom in to a particular part of the model in order to keep adding bricks just to this part. This would come very handy for large models where the clarity of the instructions could be greatly increased by focusing just on the important small part of the already large assembly. The way I imagine it could work is something akin to ROTSTEPs. In 3DViever tab one would zoom the model and then click "Apply ZOOMSTEP" in a similar...

Here you can find the early and late stages pictures as promised above.

Hello, after a few months away from Lego I started building my custom models again, including creating BIs for this. This included upgrading to latest lpub version (2.3.12). One of the changes I noticed there was how the camera distance increases as the model gets bigger. See early and late stages of a model in the attachments. The behaviour I want is that the camera distance (or absolute size of the bricks) stays the same by default but can be changed manually (from modified step onwards). I have...
