Yes, the missing link is that IPCop has been defunct for over five years. When the last release was made it was down to one developer and all development and future releases ceased soon after. Personally I moved to OPNSense. Some have moved to PFSense as well as other Linux based firewall/routers. By now you should know that you are using something that is hopelessly outdated and no security updates have happened for years. IPCop is no longer. The founder kept the domain open for months after deciding to shut it down based on lack of developers. When 2.1.8 and the 2.1.9 patch were released, there was only one developer that had even been doing that for a year or two prior. I used to make an adaptation to run on Cobalt Hardware called Raqcop but with the hardware being so weak for what is now needed for a powerful firewall, it and IPCop died at the same time.
