OMG, I found the problem: I installed QP/QM for Arduino in the Arduino sketch directory and I installed the whole QP bundle for Windows in the mentioned other directory. And I did edit the qm.qss in the bundle directory but always start QM from the sketch directory. Now when I edit the qm.qss in the sketch directory it works. Sorry for the complications.

By the way, maybe this leads to the solution: In "View -> Style" there are more then the three styles qm.qss, qm_dark.qss, qm_light.qss. For example: Cleanlooks Style, Plastic Style, etc. Where are these files? Oh, these other styles also haven't an effect .

Yes, I know. For example I edit the font size in the section CodeEdit: CodeEdit { font-family: "Consolas"; font-size: 10.5pt; I use qpn but but also tried after your post with a qpc model. But it doesn't work. It has no effect. In QM it has an effect to change the style, but the font size always is the default.

Hi Miro, for me editing the qss files doesn't have any effect. I work with QM 5.0.0 on Windows 10 and the QM directory is in c:\assemble\qp. My display has a resolution of 2560 * 1440. But whatever I set for the font-size in the qm.qss file it doesn't work. I can not figure out why?

Thanks. Yes, now both versions are working: qp-6.7.0-arduino-1.8.x and qp-6.8.0-arduino-1.8.x. The other spezifications of my system are: Microsoft Windows 10 Home Version 10.0.18363 Build 18363 Arduino IDE 1.8.12
