Hi Han, In my last two sessions, I noticed that there were green pixel pox's in my final stacked image. The one that I have attached was particularly bad: sigma_2.5 pixel pox.jpg I "cured" it by reducing the sigma factor in sigma clip average from 2.5 to 0.5. Result is seen in: sigma_0.5.jpg I'm using ASTAP 2026.5.19, but I've checked that this problem was there even in ASTAP 2026.01.15. Note: The pox pixels are still there even if I don't use darks. Unfortunately, SIRIL is refusing to stack this...

Thanks!
Hi Han, Seems that the Mac versions are stuck at 1.06a. Will updates be forthcoming? cytan
Hi Han, I'm glad I've piqued your interest. I agree, it's wise to wait until the dust settles since Frank of Seti Astro has already implemented a version for testing. I'm sure people will report whether this method is worthwhile or not. cytan P.S. I suspect that Frank's implement is probably not quite right since it was written so quickly.
Hi Han, I don't know whether you're aware of a new way of stacking that increases resolution. Here's the link to cloudynight's discussion: https://www.cloudynights.com/topic/977610-imagemm-intriguing-new-research-paper-on-next-gen-sharpening/ Also, Frank from SetiAstro has created a preliminary implementation + he also wrote a paper explaining how the algorithm works: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A1uSOnMaME8 I thought this might be interesting to see if ASTAP can also provide this type of stacking,...
Will do. Thanks! cytan
