I checked VC for conversion-missed or not existent. I just began to copy data, stopped, as it was very slow, I started perm. decryption with TC, slow, as mentioned. I do all this, because the newest VC version does not decrypt, the last version did, in TC-Mode. I assume, tomorrow the HDD will be permanently decrypted. BTW: One PC runs on Win7, OS fully encrypted, upgraded to 1.26.7, seems to work normally-problems to await? Ask this, because I read the notes, but after upgrading......would have been...

Momentarily TC decrypts the HDD permanently, will take days. Why should I use VC afterwards, assuming after permanently decrypting the HDD it will be decrypted permanently? At first I copied data from the HDD to another one, not knowing decryption would be take days! What would be faster-permanent decryption or copying all data to another HDD?

Thanks, already tried VeraCrypt 1.25.9, no avail. I ticked TC-Mode-did you mean this to convert the TC-Volume?

When clicking "Decrypt permanently", after writing password it says "Wrong password". HDD was encrypted with Truecrypt, VC 1.25.9 used for decrypting, that works, but as said not permanently! Newest VC version does not decrypt this HDD, thus I must decrypt this ext. HDD. What went wrong?

By the way: Quite remarkable such an important software is maintained by just one person! Would you fly a plane so rarely checked and examined? Furthermore, there is not much convinicing encryption software available, generally. Though it is an important topic, nowadays! Why is Veracrypt free, at least at first glance? Why is the programmer doing this?

I started the machine again, Veracrypt Bootloader-Password-Enter-F8-Safe Mode started! Removed driver. Started Veracrypt, it displayed:" Decryption planned. Process not finished. Want to continue? " (My abbreviated translation.) Yes. Immediately decryption was confirmed. After reboot the machine behaved as expected. Resume: Decryption via Rescue Disc not working.
