Evan Looks great. I have passed this on to MERG people who are interested. When will you ship this fix to me? Craig
Evan, I use the 18F25K80. I presume the 45K80 is similar. Will the fix work on both the PK2 and PK3? I have attached the source, could not attach a zip file so .asm file only. On the basis that you keep this to yourself. I is not covered by a private agreement, but the author would not like it distributed widely. Craig
Evan, Your interim strategy was worked out about a year ago by a MERG member. The person responsible for Kits in MERG is very interested in your work and are awaiting a published solution, they do not like the IPE. She did ask if you have incorporated the OSCAL components that were in PK2 into the PK3 software as apparently Microchip didnt put it in when they released the PK3software. Any idea what delivery date might be for the fixed software? Craig
Evan, Is the software you have developed available yet so I can program 25K80's. Craig
Sorry, The search was: 18F25K80 problems issues
Evan, I put a search into Google for ..K80 problems errors and got this https://www.eevblog.com/forum/microcontrollers/pic-18f25k80-ceramic-resonator-issues/ Have a look. It seems to be relevant Craig
I have posted your note to MERG and have provided your email if anybody wishes or wants to contact you. Its the best I can do. I hope they showsome interest. Craig
Yes the K80. I didnt follow it closely but it seems the trigger point for BOR on the chip and the voltage level that the oscillator will run down to in power down caused the chip to corrupt eeprom. I think it was solved by putting a separate chip to detect power down and hold the pic in reset so as not to allow corruption. Probably a bit off target but pretty much the problem and solution.
