I have a half-dozen servers running webmin successfully. However, after a recent install of Xubuntu 16.04 on a different machine, I am unable to install webmin there due to: "The following packages have unmet dependencies: webmin : Depends: libauthen-pam-perl but it is not installable Depends: apt-show-versions but it is not installable E: unable to correct problems, you have held broken packages. I tried installing apt-show-versions, but got: E: Package 'apt-show-versions' has no installation candidate...

When I try to initiate an update, Webmin builds the "complete list of updates", and I click on the "Install Now" button, it fails to initiate the update. When I try to return to the dashboard, I get the "confirm I want to leave the page, data may not be saved", warning. Apparently, the process is stuck at the browser level. I logged in using Chromium, and everything worked as expected. My Firefox add-ons are minimal, no blockers or plugins likely to interfere with launching the update. This is consistent...

Not quite sure how to describe this, but is there already a way for an instance of Webmin, running behind a corporate router/firewall, to in-effect log itself in to a remote instance (a master Webmin host, so to speak)? The objective is to enable non-expert clients to initiate a request/connection to a remote expert admin/support provider for their desktop/server, without having to re-configure their network router specifically for this purpose.

Other than installing the correct versions of various packages which might not be present (ssl, pam, etc.) is there some technical reason Webmin cannot be installed on an iMac 'Desktop', as opposed to the Server? Thanks in advance for any guidance. (And thanks for Webmin. This is an outstanding suite of tools, both in design, and scope.)
