Forgive me for using the wrong terminology as i am completely new to Viking and Ubuntu in generally. I have a windows surface pro that is my work PC. i use Garmin Basecamp because it allows me to import my own topo maps. i get them from gpsfiledepot.com. I wanted a laptop that i could bring with me on hiking/camping/biking trips but didnt necessarily care if it got banged up. i found an old dell latitude but it would not handle win 7 so i loaded ubuntu on a friends recomendation. i have viking installed...
