I was thinking Peter .. I have an old Hauppauge colossus 2 capture card which I could add to my new pc.. (see pics) then there are 2 HDMI outputs on my Blu-ray player ..1 for audio and 1 for audio and video (that's the one I use at the moment).. Perhaps I could use the audio out to the colossus in the PC .. and the video out to the TV or the AVR .. I see a problem there though with the HDCP status/compatibility on the audio connection .. If I used the mic in on pc from the player it would only be...

L,R,C,SW,ML,MR,BL,BR... 5.1 doesn't use the back speakers A suggestion regarding the labels ..why not just use initials: L,R,C,SW,ML,MR,BL,BR..? that would keep the box smaller.....
