That was it, with the patched version I could see where it wasnt matching (I'll use it to spot those issues in the future). I then just moved it to then match the arc line I had and now it works in both the 25th Sept release and the patched one. My suggestion is dont try to automatically fix the issue, I'd just have it report that theres not a closed object and maybe highlight the two ends that you cant match. I too have a similar issue. With mine it crashes whenever I choose left compensation. Checking your dxf file on my PC you have the same issue. If you turn off auto compensation and manually choose left compensation (logical if your cutting that object out) then it will crash too. Auto is just choosing left by default for that object. I can provide my dxf if required but if they fix the issue for the original file it should fix my issue. My file was created using qcad community edition if that helps....
