Problem solved. I downloaded the latest version of Java, made sure it was enabled, and made Data Crow a trusted application in my anti-virus program.

Hi, On Windows 10 I can't launch data crow 32 bit exe - I get the java runtime error. The only way I can open the program is by running datacrow.jar - but I can't add that to the task bar. How can I get the .exe file working? Charles

Thanks, that worked. Interesting, when I removed<artist> - <title>and left <title> it still labelled the artist as unknown. But when I entered your <filename> it worked. I'm still wondering why applying a change to select all doesn't work though. Charles

When I add a flac file into fre:ac it adds "unknown artist" to the front of every file name, and then continues with the actual file name for each audio file. I have tried various options in settings, including adding the actual artist's name but nothing works. In addition, if I type the artist's name in the "show title info" box when all of the files are selected it only changes one file. I would prefer to remove the artist designation completely and just convert the file names as is. How can I...
