We meaning when we spoke about this. I need to remind myself what challenges are keeping me from including it by default - possibly dkms or something else ending in to big of an add to continue to make the image distributed. I face a hard limit of about 4GB when compressed before I can no longer succeed in making the ISO. I can’t justify removing other applications to include something by default that may not be used by a lot of people - not saying that’s the case, but I’m trying to maintain a fine...

You know what, I need to pick up where we left off. If not in the live cd at least able to be installed via PPA. If I recall, I don’t think I currently have enough space to find in everything that’s needed beforehand without pulling out some existing stuff. I’ll be back from a little vacation in about a week. I’ll dd the setup on my end into an img and you/I can see how it restores on a drive. I’m thinking you’d have to live boot in order to dd the image back to your onboard nvme drive. There’s also clonezilla, I’ll see what makes the most sense. Scott, I’m actually coming up with a plan for that now. You see, on the WarDragon I do additional configuration that’s not in the normal ISO. Normally updates would just come from the repo I’ve created, but I did some big changes with GNU Radio and other applications in such a way I’ve not figured out the best way to update over the air yet. What I’m thinking of doing is creating a restorable image and offering it for download to WarDragon owners with specific directions or offering that i personally...

Hans, I took a quick peek on DragonOS FocalX and up under /usr/src/gr-inspector I have the source code there that includes the examples folder. Within the examples folder I'm able to run the flow graphs there. for example, signal_detection.grc. Have you tried those? I see in your case you have a folder called GNU Radio Modules on your desktop. I'm not sure where you picked those up or if they are ones you created, but if you grabbed them off some repo on line it's possible the .py files are for an...

Gary, I now have the dumphfdl wrapper you shared up and running with the Airspy HF attached to a WarDragon. I'll leave it running as long as I can.

Just following up, I started trying to run the VARA HF v4.8.7 (High Performance HF Modem) but I've yet to have it run at all yet, is that the one you're trying to run?

That’s really interesting and lots going on in there. Out of curiosity, have you found a seg fault manually running dumphfdl directly with a list of frequencies and such? I tried on my end and had it running the past couple days without an issue yet. I’ll try this project and see if there’s a difference.
