I'm opening this as a new question because I'm starting a new install. uninstalled keepass using windows control panel uninstall. moved all keepass databases from C-drive to an external drive. (I should say all that I know of) removed the keepass registry key downloaded 2.39.1 of keepass. ran setup.exe opened New Database.kbdx at that point the database looked like screenshot below, but it had only 2 entries. I didn't get a screenshot of that, because I didn't know I was going to need one. added...

I edited the registry and deleted the one entry it found..."keepass database". Now I'll uninstall and re-install. I'm posting this here just to document what I'm doing.
Hi, You suggested a solution last time I looked at this discussion. I don't remember what it was and I don't know whether I tried it. Could you please re-iterate what your suggestion was. Thanks. Phil Richcreek.
Is it possible to just completely remove the product and then reinstall? I've gone through the"new" procedure, but it always ends up with a database than won't show the entries. I want to make my system look like it never had Keepass. Like a completely new Keepass user. Thanks, Phil.
Just checking
Just checking to see if there is any response. Apparently Dominik isn't going to look at this.
Surely there is a way to totally remove the software. I saw a message stating that some items could not be removed or some tasks could not be performed. Perhaps if I knew how to avoid that message it would make a difference. I asked if purchasing the product would make a difference. I think I looked for page where the product could be purchased but didn't find it. I see the software's author commenting on other discussions. Is there some way to get his attention?
