Well, you could purchase a newer factory radio like I did and have the expert in MI re program it so you can enter navigation while your driving...but that is about it unless you ask for the 2015 version radio with texting too. I opted for the NAV only and then got the latest updates that way. Hope that makes sense. Sorry, our 2013 Malibus do have a different setup. We're unable to get into the Enable Development Mode... Hey there, Alpine, I have 2013 Malibu and have been trying for 2 years to unlock, and get into development mode on the Gen 8 mylinks. Let me know if you hear anything.
