Thanks all.. The random path too long issue is a result of different software packages creating paths with super long files names sometimes and across several subdirectories. The real reason I needed the regular Windows Zip is because these are daily backup directories and I need to search through them to find a particular file or folder I need to recover sometime. Windows will search through 'normal' multiple zip files and find the data easily I need to recover; just copy the found data directly...

I am required to use .zip compression that can be read / opened by Windows explorer.... Issue: I have directories that have paths that are too long to read in Windows Explorer. If I try to zip the folder with the SENDTO COMPRESSED FILE command in Windows, it tells me there are paths / files that have to long a length and fails.
