I just had the same issue as @goose trying to clone a 2.5" 480 GB SSD (sda) to a 800 GB 2.5" SSD (sdc) I used clonezilla-live-3.0.1-8-amd64 with toram option to boot (this is what I always use, I've cloned hundreds of machines without issue) The source disk was a proxmox boot volume, i.e. the OS itself, and a bunch of VMs stored as lvm-thin in the "local-lvm" storage (for anyone familiar with proxmox). After the second time it copied ~500G, I just hit CTRL+C after it showed "cloned sucessfully."...
