Dear Jason, your fix indeed seems to solve the problem! Now touch-drag does not freeze anymore, even when drumming crazily with the fingers, which before reproduced the problem within seconds. Cool! Your fix also solves my remaining problems with pen input, which after some time (in Chrome, using Javascript) stopped working. It still produced pen-down, but no more pen-move events. That problem might partially be a Chrome-related issue, since it didn't happen with Xournal, but now this problem is...

Dear Jason, thanks for providing a new version. I uninstalled the fix-buf-339 version, reinstalled the current one from the git repository (and/or from Ubuntu 17.10 packages), and installed your version of input-wacom. However, now I seem to have a completely new bug. At least I didn't realize this one before: I can use the pen for some time, and I do not notice erroneous clicks, but at some point it stops reporting pointermove and pointerup events. I saw this problem both in my own Javascript code...

Thanks a lot to Jason and Denis to fixing bugs #338 and #339 to actively. I have a Thinkpad X1 Yoga (2nd gen) and had exactly those two problems. With the branch fix-bug-339 the random clicks (#338) are gone and it seems to fix #339, too. However, the freezes of the touchscreen do still happen. It is rare and hard to reproduce, but during a 1h presentation (which I have to do regularly) the touchscreen will freeze very likely. Any idea what I could try? Any way to reset the driver without restarting...

I have exactly the same problem with a Thinkpad X1 Yoga (2nd gen). I happens rarely and the problem is hard to reproduce, but when giving a 1h presentation talk it will happen at some point. Is there any way to reset the status of the driver without restarting X (and thereby killing my presentation)?
