I suppose, it would be not so complicated to set required unit of measurement on the distance. Right-click on the tool would allow to choose mm, m, inch. No. I mean the lowermost little button right to the tracks.

Now I know why I could not select the keyframe. I had Scroll/Rescale scroll button enabled. It makes unpossible to select keyframes.

Thank you, my first movie is done, but nothing to brag about. That was only for learning. Now I make my next modell. I added keyframe in wrong position, I deleted the track to begin from the beginning, but the wrong keyframe is there anyway. And it is not possible to select it for deleting. How can I select the keyframe in spite of that?

Now the camera. When I preview this modell, I see only a part of it. I understand, that I have to do something with the properties of the camera, but is it possible to see, what I do? I must try as the blind hen may perchance find seed (as Hungarians say :) )?
