Update. I really don't know if this is what was causing the issue, but I have this working today. The laptop shipped with a default display resolution of 2560 x 1440 and scale was set to %250. I changed resolution to 1920 x 1080 and scale to 100%. Following a couple of reboot, keepass , which is included in the startup programs, is now launching using the -pw command line switch. I have a shortcut to launch keepass 2.54 Windows 11 using command line option -pw I have enclosed the password in double quotes. The master database fails to open. I can manually enter the same password and keepass opens just fine. I have read and reviewed the online doc https://keepass.info/help/base/cmdline.html over and over.
