Miracle ! I guess the latest win 11 update solved it ! (:fingers-crossed:) I don't have to restart Explorer any more : all the files from the encrypted drive have a normal ("not unsafe") status, pdfs are previewed etc ... Hopinge next update won't regress.

I found a workaround : I need to restart Windows Explorer, then all files are accessible. This is quite annoying but at least it allows me to preview my files ! I'd like to find a way to +/- automatically restart Win Explorer AFTER my Veracrypt drive is mounted.

I still have the problem. I'm not sure what I did to recover the capability to preview, but the problem came back, and I can't find the way to unlock. The entire drive is affected. The property (right-click) on a file doesn't show the locking and therefore doesn't offer to unblock the file. The powershell command in admin mode : Get-ChildItem -Path "T:\myMainDir" -Recurse | Unblock-File has no effect. -sigh-

Edit : This problem doesn't always hit ! It started with a relatively recent security update (that did also hit Win 10). BUT I have one colleague who doesn't have the problem though in very similar conditions. And in my current session (today) the problem seems gone ! (it still was here yesterday). Indeed, it's a Windows 11 problem but it's not even systematic. I will follow up later if I can find an explanation.

I understand perfectly the MOTW mechanism. However, this is not the problem here. None of my files located in my Veracrypt drive come from internet nor an outside (non local) location. They are all created and updated locally (office documents, pdfs, scripts etc). Win11 blocks all files from the encrypted (Veracrypt) drive. It's not a per file policy, it's global, so I can't apply any method to remove the MOTW mark : there is no mark involved. If I copy a file from the Veracrypt drive to C: (eg),...

All my files located in my veracrypt drive are considered unsafe by Windows 11, I get warnings all the time, preview is blocked etc... And I can't unblock them (remove MOTW). When I copy such a file to a local drive, I get a warning, but I can unblock the copied file (right-click property-safety). Is there a way to use Veracrypt on Windows 11 without this big problem ? There should be a way to declare my Veracrypt drive as "safe" or "local"... Thx a LOT in advance, it's horribly annoying.
