Thanks for your help. Best regards, Pedro
Thanks for your quick response! I'll follow your advice. BTW Thanks for the warning about not enabling both options. Best regards, Pedro
Hi there, I'm using fre:ac v1.1 Alpha 20180913 since released and very satisfied with it. Now I'm in the need of converting a large number of FLAC files (24bit and 96kHz) to FLAC CD quality (16 bit, 44.1 kHz). The DSP Sample rate and format converters did their jobs but if choose to delete the original files SOMETIMES I get them deleted and the new created ones named as I choose BUT the extension went from "FLAC" to "FLAC.NEW" Nothing a bulk rename can't fix but is annoying at least. Thanks in advance...
I confirm it was a problem with some preinstalled Lenovo software or security setting. I did a clean Windows installation -no restore- and fre:ac is working fine. Thanks for your time and sorry for the inconveniences. Pedro
I've disabled the antivirus and downloaded the files again. fre:ac 1.0.32 binary.zip : Same result. The encoders folder is populated by Bonk, FAAC, FLAC, LAME MP4, MPG and OGG DLLs. but it seems that fre:ac can't find them. By the way, neither version (32bit and 64 bit) of alpha version run. Consider closing this topic because it seems related to something in my computer and not a bug in fre:ac. I appreciate your interest but time is a sparse resource and maybe yours will be better allocated to development...
Hi Robert, Thanks for your very quick response. Antivirus disabled, same results. I'll research for some other active kind of protection on my Lenovo computer. Best regards, Pedro
Hi everybody: I've been using fre:ac as my audio format converter and ripper in Windows 7 and 10 in a few computers in both the installable and portable versions without the strange problem that I'm suffering in a fresh installed Windows 10 Pro: Only Windows Wave File Output is listed as encoder in General Settings setup. I tried the last downloadable versions: 1.0.32 and 1.1 Alpha 20180716 in both flavors: Setup and Binary ZIP. Also tried the portable from PortableApps with same results. Same files,...
