I have pwsafe installed on my two adroid devices (a7 tagble and s23 phone) I use dropbox to sync my passwords. On my phone I do pwsafesync, dropbox is there and I hit "choose files", find my saved password file and hit "open". Then I click on the file and it asks me for my password and i give it and my passwords pop up. YAY On my tablet I try to do the same thing I go to pwsafe sync, same dropbox, i hit "choose files'. I find the file (same date stamp as I had on my phone]. I select it and then hit...

The underlying URL to it may be stale which can cause errors opening. Try using the bottom-right file chooser button to re-open the file. That worked!! Ah -- one more data point: if I put in the wrong password, I still get the same error. So it isn't a password problem but something earlier in the authentication machinery.

I can't find any combination of anything that will open the password file on my tablet [samsung galaxy tab a7]. Any...

PWsafe 6.22 on android 14: In the past pwsafe on my tablet has always been content to open the password file read only [and that's the way I prefer it]. But I've had to reinstall it and apparently that is allowed any more. Is that true? It says that the file is not writeable [correct!] but then generaes a huge java error. Is there some way to make it happy with a read-only database? Java error attached

This morning, to my dismay, when I try to past anything Ditto gives me a Paste Errore - Paste Exception OpenClipboard Failed I tried killing and restarting it. Doesn't help. Any idea what's wrong? This on win10/pro 22h2 I have NOT installed the June patches -- my system is identical with the way it was yesterday. /Bernie\

I have forgotten the master password. Is there any way of trying to break it? I have a good idea of what the password was, so it'd be a restricted brute force. Thanks /bernie\ Bernie Cosell bernie@fantasyfarm.com -- Too many people; too few sheep --
