It now worked after deleting the master darks and flats and changing the Raw conversion method to LibRaw (cropped active area) from LibRaw (full active area). At first, I had tried to use DCRaw as recommended by this StarTools page. But this gave me an access violation error when trying to STACK (Sigma clip average), similar to this ticket. I've now deleted all converted FIT(s) files and masters and starting again from scratch from the camera raw images using only LibRaw (cropped active area).

Might it have something to do with System-Preferences -> Security & Privacy -> Privacy -> Full Disk Access ? Does it help to add GP there?
