I already changed the engine and gravel sounds in it; the same thing with the wind That's good to know. Do you have licensing information for them? we need to change the code for getting the engine sound from the car XML file A feature like this isn't really complex, so it should possible to implement without much trouble. Data files under proper licenses are a lot more tricky to get your hands on...

I did not, thanks for pointing this out. But it's quite outdated... I think making a Flatpak might be a viable option, and I might try to tinker with it someday. It shouldn't be too difficult.

Yes, the images were already replaced. If you have no objections, the issue can be marked as resolved.

As @onsemeliot explained (and as I said earlier), we sadly can't have NC-licensed artwork in the main data bundle. We can, however, put them into external plugins, as that's what plugins are for. Most of them have licensing issues. But beware that data from the main game can't depend on plugins (e.g. you can't have a map in the main bundle which loads an image from the plugin). To be included into the main game, however, artwork must be free (libre).

Lenovo ThinkPad T400s If I'm not mistaken, it should support OpenGL 2.1 and OpenGL ES 2.0. 3.x is out of question tho. Regarding the audio, it doesn't need to be authentic. It just needs to be "plausible enough" to work, so even synthetic is an option. Also, there're CC-licensed recordings of motor races available on the internet, it might be possible to use them. E.g. https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Category:Videos_of_auto_racing has a lot of stuff under CC-BY-SA. Paying for a hobby is a thing,...
