Here are my measurements using RTL Utility: 1. Utility - (WDM) - output hardware - input hardware - (WDM) - utility = 51ms 2. Utility - (WDM) - VoiceMeeter - (ASIO) - output hardware - input hardware - (WDM) - utility = 51ms (Wow!) 3. Utility - (WDM) - VB-Cable - (KS) - VoiceMeeter - (ASIO) - output hardware - input hardware - (WDM) - utility = 65ms I wonder if RTL Utility being written in 2010 influences this, and some more modern apps will have different latency values.

Well, yes, but: 1) Voicemeeter is free to use, Audio Repeater KS is not. 2) APO glitches on VoiceMeeters virtual card, does not glitch on VB-Cable. 3) This setup leaves VoiceMeeter's own card free. One can use it for applications that should not use surround sound, for example, games with better built-in virtualizer.
And it is Voicemeeter. :) One of the less known features of VoiceMeeter is that it can take sound out of VB-Cable without relying on Windows sound system. Install Equaliser APO on VBCable, then use VoiceMeeter to stream sound out of it and into sound card, maybe even with ASIO. Install VBCable and Voicemeeter, reboot. Now in VoiceMeeter in the menu for incoming hardware devices there is an option "KS: VB-Point". Use it, and choose output card for A1. That's all. Latency is just as small as any other...
Now, a link, if it works. https://www.freedesktop.org/wiki/Software/PulseAudio/Documentation/User/Modules/#index48h3
Hello! I am trying to get a proper and convenient to use surround sound on Linux. There is a facility for that, called " PulseAudio module-virtual-surround-sink". I can't post a link because I have a new account. Pulseaudio sink uses HRIR wav files, that have 6 channels. The problem is that all wav files provided sound tinny and unnatural. Another problem is absolute lack of documentation on it. Is it possible to convert a wav file from HeSuVi collection to this 6-channel HRIR format? I did try a...
