Can't execute a mysql/mariadb query that uses CTE derived table.
Hi, I fully get behind you need to get the settings in the code sent to the server to align them, I only ask you use TEMPORARY option so they it only applies to the current connection and not change all the other users / connections / applications that are also using the database. Using SET OPTION without TEMPORARY sets it PERMANENTLY for the user AND all other connections that have connected with the same user name - which is why my other application/s started to fail. I would even say that the...

I propose that the setting should only be applied if the property is changed in code, eg. AutoCommit:=True or AutoCommit:=False and even then it should be an change for this connection and not permanent unless otherwise specified. As I said in my original post, I was testing out your library with a demo app and it inadvertently stopped another program from working!
Maybe so, but my issue is that I didn't set/change any settings - I just connected and performed a SELECT. Looking at the code, it is enough to just CONNECT to automatically change this OPTION and make it permanent for the user!! Can I ask why was AUTO_COMMIT coded as a TEMPORARY change but not CHAINED then?
