It works now, thanks!!!
@ghotik I tried to follow your instructions at: https://sourceforge.net/p/dxwnd/discussion/general/thread/336c9b19f2/#15d8 But all I get is "Incorrect CD in drive."... By the way, AYAPI.DLL = Andi Yelland's API a guy that was at Psygnosis, he also wrote one for Wipeout on PC, you can see few bits in the leaked Wipeout sources: API\API3D.DOC API\H\AYAPI.H API\H\AYAPIDEF.H API\H\AYAPIDLL.H API\H\AYAPIFN.H API\H\AYAPISTR.H
Indeed ! I haven't been to slow the game down, though. Even though you made a great job documenting the software, it's still incredibly difficult to use, mainly because noobs lack the necessary knowledge to understand how exactly each option would affect an executable.
bump i've been trying the latest version of dxwnd as of today but it seems like situation hasn't improved much, 3d models cannot be seen and therefore the track in game. FWIW I've tried latest https://github.com/narzoul/DDrawCompat/releases/tag/experimental It's almost perfect, maybe that can give you an idea on how to support from within dxwnd ? cheers
Forgot to mention, it appears that if Windows sees corrupted registry, it forces a reset of the default apps: https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_10-update/after-the-installation-of-kb3135173-a-small-set-of/27eaff6f-d373-4718-91fd-c2822d82ced5
Broken on Microsoft Windows [Version 10.0.15063]
Thanks mate, and thanks to DXWND who can make it available to us again :)
Thanks, it's working really well ! To be honest I rushed to the forum asking your expertise ! should have gave it a try first X)
