I've been using Equalizer APO for years now, and it works just great! Super thanks for this awesome piece of software! I basically installed the whole thing for one thing: increase the gain for the Skyrim game!.. And for that only game I set the gain to +20dB, and set up Windows Volume Mixer at 100% default sound, Skyrim to 100%, and everything else to 30%. The problem is, when I open a new program, it bursts my ears off. There's no way for Windows itself to set the volume of new apps to,...
Hey, I'm not sure this helps, but every time windows screws my settings, I simply open the Configuraation Editor tool, it detects that stuff are uninstalled and allows me to reinstall them. Then I simply unplug and plug back in the earphones/speakers from behind the computer and the new settings applies. This applies to my onboard audio system. It "knows" when I plug and unplug to either the back or front jacks and disables the driver in Windows. I can visualize that if I have the Volume Mixer open....

Here I did something similar to taking it "off" and "on" by just renaming away the config.txt file. Helps to check "stock/unmodified" settings but probably won't help if you have lower level software issues with it (like some devices not working at all when EqAPO is attached to them).
Thanks for going beyond linking the devel docs and pointing details. I think I've missed the docs, looking for README.md files or INSTALL.md that I am used to find in some projects... hehe For muparserx I found a NuGet package called 'muparser-vc140' and thought it could be it (but it is not, obviously ehhe). Google didn't help me much as it usually does when I look for a missing include. :) Hopefully google will index this forum thread and help people in the future should anyone else get into this....
Hello. Tried here adding back the GUID and running the editor. First time I ran the editor it cleared the GUID from the registry entry and worked. Then I added the GUID again, closed, and re-opened it and it didn't load. So seems sometimes it can fetch & fix and some other times it can't. To be precise, if I add the key with configuration editor running, it removes it when I close it. That seems pretty obvious as it probably blindly rewrites its data to the registry when it is closed. Well, key is...
