Hi, How it works is way above my pay grade. But what you are saying does explain why Clonezilla still wanted to fix the block number errors before proceeding. I made two backups, one with Redo and afterwards, one with Clonezilla. I then did a restore using the Redo one and everything worked fine. Redo 1.0.5 said the disk was "clean" as did Gparted when using the live ISO. So It's all a mystery to me. I hope you continue to go forward with the project and can feel more certain in the product. I was so glad to find this project has been reactivated. I have been using an experimental 2016 version for the last few years. While Clonezilla works, it is a pain to use. But what I really like about Redo is the ability to only backup the OS partition and not the swap or data ones. This makes it fast and encourages you to make more frequent backups. But I was finding more and more distros could not work with Redo, with it saying the disk was not "clean" and getting stuck at 99%. This version didn't...
