Changing to "ARCH := skylake" in the makefile fixed the problem. Phew! Thanks a lot for your help.

Dear Paul, Thank you for your quick response. My CPU is Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-1165G7 (64-bit operating system, x64-based processor). I run the commands you mentioned and the report is: C:\PhysiCell_V.1.8.0\PhysiCell>make --version GNU Make 3.81 C:\PhysiCell_V.1.8.0\PhysiCell>g++ --version g++ (x86_64-posix-seh-rev0, Built by MinGW-W64 project) 8.1.0
