in your case just try to use empty string because user lib (/home/user/.config/freeplane/1.7.x/lib) should be added to the classpath by default. OK, thanks.

On a linux machine, I get a validation error when I set the Scripts Classpath (Tools > Preferences > Plugins) to either of the following: - lib - /home/user/.config/freeplane/1.7.x/lib The error says I need to give read access to the files in the specified location even though the directory and its contents are readable. Any ideas?

I've never created a Debian repo. Based on cursory research, this error might indicate that the repo does not support my version of Ubuntu. However, according to the Launchpad page, it does support my version, 18.04/Bionic. Below is some relevant info that I found. This explains the Release/InRelease files: https://wiki.debian.org/DebianRepository/Format#A.22Release.22_files The following have instructions to create Release/InRelease files: https://unix.stackexchange.com/questions/403485/how-to-generate-the-release-file-on-a-local-package-repository...
