Check your BIOS settings. How old is the PC. I had a similar issue cloning an already installed SSD to an SSD in a cradle, Clonezilla could see the cradle mounted SSD but not the onboard. By default the BIOS was set to use RAID for the controllers. I reverted this to AHCI to complete the clone, then restore the setting. Your may just need to have the BIOS set to AHCI if it isn't already. Make sure you keep a note of the settings in the BIOS

Thanks Steven, I had downloaded the most recent version and hit an issue. It was however a BIOS setting that prevented access to the boot drive. Keep safe.

I haven't used any version. I am checking before I undertake the task, in case it isn't possible

I have two SSD's to clone (M.2 NVMe 2230 SSD and P5 Plus NVMe M.2 2280 SSD ) and could not find any suggestion that Clonezilla could clone these. Does anyone know for sure?
