Oh, I totally missed this combination: emulation mode = "primary surface" and add "Flip emulation" flag both games work, but nfs5 is a slideshow. but I understand it's not what you want You're right, the idea is DxWnd doing nothing, only limiting resources. Your new dll is putting me back on track, thanks.
Any news here? I've tested v55, the same. This time I've tried changing some configuration, but nothing could bring me to v51 operation.
You're using DxWnd for compatibility reasons and not to run games in window mode. Yes, these 2 need DxWnd's "Limit resources" to run on 4GB VRAM cards. 1) always as admin 2) setting "Libs / Disable setting gamma ramp" on doesn't change anything This is not the first time newer version of DxWnd breaks these 2 games, thus I report one more time; it can be helpful for other games.

I don't know if it's the right place to report this but here it is. Temporarily I'm not using DxWnd for now because I stopped playing 2 games I needed it for: sting! and nfs5 (porsche). But I still follow project's evolution and test new versions sometimes. In short: v2.04.52 and later broke these 2 games. Settings not touched between versions. Logs attached. Sting! - only black screen; nfs5 - intro videos stop updating screen, game not entering main menu (only sounds hearable). v2.04.51 all goo...

It's ok, but you can just put icon storage in another amorphous type indexed file like 'dxwnd_icon.db' or something like that. For now it is some brute force approach for storing binary in text ini. But for me it's also not a problem with bigger ini. It also would make refreshing icons storage simple - by just deleting .db file. Something like known 'thumbs.db' file in XP or 'IconCache.db' in Win7. For non active game profiles I suggest greying them out somehow.
New icon GUI is simply great. Something in DxWnd's look was missing for me but I didn't know what. Now I know. But I keep ini file clean from "iconX" entries to have full color icons for games with exe's path configured correctly. Each time 'dxwnd.ini' is saved icon entries apear again, but this is not a problem for already configured games. I think storing simplified icon is ok for not present games, but full color for active ones is a must and it looks very good. The problem is still here for 16...
