That article complains about the ecosystem and the ability to manage passkeys, not about passkeys themselves. Essentially, the lack of support by KeePass is the sort of thing they're talking about as negatives (lack of adequate standard support for passkeys across platforms and workflows). They specifically go into how certain password managers support them, but how there are issues with integration and workflow. And the point of using a passkey is precisely the same reason why using a password without...

Well, I see the advantage of using passkeys with a piece of software like a password manager (such as KeePassXC) which allows for coping and storage on a regular drive as one of yes, convenience as you said, but also security. Phishing, etc. become less profitable for criminals if keys are tied to a domain's request and as a result they can't get access to a proper response that would allow them to break into an account (or the private keys for that matter) even if you were to fall for a phishing...

KeePass could interact with the browser using the same protocols that KeePassXC or ProtonPass use. Right now those are viable options that allow creating passkey credentials in addition to storing them (and by extension, that makes them transferrable between computers). I'm afraid that if KeePass doesn't make moves to work with passkeys, then eventually users like myself will have no choice but to switch managers as passwords are gradually replaced by passkeys over the next couple years. I would...

This is becoming increasingly important as there is a move away from passwords to passkeys from an increasing number of important companies. Other password managers have begun work (or have working implementations), so it would be really good if KeePass could work on storing and also exchanging passkeys with browsers, etc.
